A short walk from Jantar Mantar leads to the iconic Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the five-story structure features 953 small windows called jharokhas. These windows allowed royal women to watch street activities without being seen.
In the evening, visitors can explore the bustling markets such as Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar. These markets are famous for traditional jewelry, textiles, handicrafts, and souvenirs. Travelers can also taste local Rajasthani dishes like Dal Baati Churma and Ghewar. After a wonderful evening, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Jaipur Sightseeing and Return to Delhi
Start the second day with a visit to the magnificent Amber Fort, located on a hill about 11 km from the city center. Built in the 16th century by Raja Man Singh I, the fort is known for its grand courtyards, ornate palaces, and beautiful carvings. One of the most stunning sections of the fort is the Sheesh Mahal, decorated with thousands of tiny mirrors.
While returning from Amber Fort, stop at the picturesque Jal Mahal, situated in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. The palace appears to float on the lake and provides a perfect photo opportunity.
If time permits, visitors can also go to Nahargarh Fort, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Pink City and the surrounding Aravalli hills.
After completing the sightseeing tour, travelers begin their journey back to Delhi in the afternoon or evening. The return trip usually takes about five hours by road.
